Community Guidelines

Daylyf is a marketplace for day-use spaces. Our community works because guests and hosts treat each other with respect and honesty. These guidelines sit alongside our Terms of Service and Host Agreement. Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Service take precedence.

For everyone

Be honest. List spaces accurately. Represent yourself accurately. Do not impersonate anyone or create fake accounts.

Be respectful. Treat every person on Daylyf — guests, hosts, and Daylyf staff — with basic respect. Harassment, abuse, discrimination, or threatening behaviour of any kind is not tolerated. This includes messages, reviews, and any in-person interaction at a booked space.

No illegal activity. Do not use Daylyf to facilitate anything unlawful. This includes subletting without a landlord's permission, commercial activity that violates local planning or licensing rules, fraud, money laundering, or any other criminal offence.

Protect your account. Do not share your login credentials. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact support@daylyf.com immediately.

Under 18. Daylyf is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make a booking, or list a space. If we find an underage user, we will close the account immediately.

For guests

Book in good faith. Only book a space for the purpose described in your enquiry and within the host's stated house rules.

Respect the space. Treat a host's property as you would want your own treated. Leave it as you found it. Report any accidental damage honestly.

Communicate through Daylyf. Keep booking-related conversations within the Daylyf app so both parties have a clear record for dispute resolution. Do not pressure a host to take payment outside the platform.

Arrive and depart on time. Respect the booked hours. If something changes, contact your host through the app and contact support@daylyf.com if needed.

For hosts

List accurately. Describe your space honestly — photos, amenities, capacity, house rules, and any restrictions. Do not list a space you do not have the authority to rent.

Verify before you list. Daylyf requires identity verification before your listing goes live. This protects guests and keeps the platform trustworthy.

Honour confirmed bookings. Once a booking is confirmed, honour it unless there is a genuine emergency. Repeated cancellations affect your standing and may result in delisting.

Keep guest data private. Guest details shared with you as part of a booking are for delivering that booking only. Do not retain or use them for any other purpose. See our Host Agreement for the full data-handling obligation.

Reviews

Reviews must be honest accounts of real experiences. Do not write fake reviews, incentivise positive reviews, or threaten negative reviews to gain leverage. Daylyf may remove reviews that violate these guidelines and may suspend accounts where review manipulation is found.

Enforcement

Daylyf may take any of the following actions if these guidelines are breached:

  1. Warning — a notice that a guideline has been breached.
  2. Temporary suspension — your account or listing is paused pending review.
  3. Permanent ban — your account is closed and you are not permitted to create a new one.
  4. Referral to authorities — where illegal activity is identified, we will cooperate with law enforcement.

Enforcement decisions are made by Daylyf at its reasonable discretion. If you believe a decision was made in error, contact support@daylyf.com with the subject "Enforcement appeal."

Reporting concerns

If you see a listing, message, or user that concerns you:

  • Email support@daylyf.com with as much detail as possible.
  • For urgent safety concerns, contact emergency services (999 in the UK) first, then notify us.

Changes

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced within the app.
